I just got a bottle from a friend (thanks!) of St. George 'sinthe ...
it's the darkest-green colored sinthe i've yet seen/had ...
Very powerful earthy herbal potion, it is ...... it leaves your tongue with that numb shimmery feeling/sensation which is always a good sign of good absinthe in my experience .....
There is "stinging nettle" in this absinthe, something not found in other absinthes usually ... it adds a darker, more earthy taste, I think ....
I would say that overall, this is the best 'Absinthe'(minus the thujone in real absinthe) that i've tried ....
Anyone else had it ? What do you think ?
It was on sale here, I guess, much less than the usual retail price of about $75 (too much in my opinion ) .

Re: St. George absinthe
Wed, June 24, 2009 - 6:17 PMI know that it is marketed in a kind of a cheesy fashion, but of all the absinthe's I tried at the Microdistiller's Conference this year, I think I liked Marilyn Manson's Mansinthe best. Very complex and interesting flavor. Made in Switzerland to his specs.
